What is Your Favorite Die?

It's time for another As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite die with us.  Use this die on your creation and tell us why it's your favorite.  I know this is a toughie, right?  But it's well worth entering because we have another fabulous sponsor this week -

Here is my tag, using a bunch of my favorite dies -

This is an impossible challenge for me, so I am going to show you my favorite NEW die to narrow things down. I fell in love with this little panda, he's just so cute and goes together quickly when in need of a fast card or tag. The large and small tag ties are also a couple of my favorites just because I love there shapes and you can't go wrong with any of the nested dies IMO. This heart die has been used over and over.

I can't wait to see what your favorite die is and why it's your favorite.  Head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the guidelines and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well. It's almost Friday!

Our Sponsor this week is -

I had a bunch of fun using Panda in Love, the progressive challenge image from Gerda Steiner.  He's so perfect for anything love or Valentine's Day -

No is the chance to get ahead of you cards for Valentine's Card, or just to let someone you love know it.  Head on over to the CRAFT Challenge blog for more information about prizes and to check out the fab creations of the DT.

I just noticed one of my hearts is a little too wonky, oh well, easy enough to fix!

Round Up Time

OK, so I can see how this title might be a bit confusing, but it's actually a simple challenge!  I'm up this week at Little Red Wagon and I want to see your creations that are round.  I hope to see round cards, round scrapbook pages, round get the picture.
Here's what I came up with -

I used a new die set from Echo Park and LOVE IT!  Got it and a couple other sets when had a big sale.  Here's a little closer look -

I'm really looking forward to seeing your projects.  Like I said earlier, it doesn't have to be a card.  Be sure to check out the Girlfriends and leave them a little love.

Head on over to the Little Red Wagon and follow their links.  I hope you'll consider joining us this week!

For Baby

Hi everyone!  I'm up on the blog at Kennedy Grace Creations today.  I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend full of all that you love.  I had a chance to spend some time in my craft room and had a bunch of fun creating this little shaker card using this sweet Kennedy Grace set, Sweet Baby Mine.  Take a look -

This shaker was pretty easy to make.  The little hippo colored up so easily with Copic markers.  Warm grays along with soft pinks and greens were used to color her up.  I used a specialty cardstock for this card called Stardream.  It had a beautiful soft shine to it that I wasn't able to catch in the photo.  I fashioned a layer of fun foam with a circle cut out for the shaker and attached it to the card base.  A die was used to cut the circle and frame in the top layer and glued acetate to the back side so a window that was created.  The sequins were added into the opened window and the top layer was adhered to the fun foam (that part was a little tricky, I'm not going to lie).  Actually, the hardest part of this card was deciding which of these cute little animals to use!

To finish the card off, I stamped a sentiment from Sweet Baby Mine and added a few die cut hearts in the same color scheme.

Here's a little closer look at the gorgeous sequins.  I used the Primrose mix which has wonderful soft greens and pinks.  The mix has different sizes of sequins (which I love) and little beads in pink and green that shine beautifully!

That's it for me today.  I do wish you all a wonderful week, don't take anything for granted and live life to the fullest!
